Two years after the Lehmann Group acquired Huwil Locks, both companies have now completed the process of consolidating their product ranges and technical expertise. Right on time for the Interzum show, the specialists in mechanical and electronic locking systems for furniture and related segments are presenting the result: a system solution that goes far beyond any simple product harmonisation. The new « VCS 18.2 » generation of interchangeable cylinders and « Trikey » provide the basis for giving users on the home and foreign markets a diverse range of locking options and systems on a broad front and with the future in mind.
For this new development, the Lehmann Group is using existing synergies, gradually implementing them to create added value for the consumer from the new « VCS 18.2 » generation in an extensive range of possible applications. The new « VCS18.2 » interchangeable cylinder, including all locking groups, is compatible with many locks or components from the existing range, including connection to locking mechanisms, such as in desk pedestals, filing cabinets etc. In future, users can take advantage of the greater benefits provided by Lehmann lock mechanisms and enhance their flexibility. The preceding generations are still available, relaxing the change-over to the new lock-mechanism generations.
The best of everything
In widespread use, the « Prestige 2 » interchangeable cylinder also continues to be available on the market. The « VCS 18.2 » interchangeable cylinder and « Trikey » can be used in conjunction with selected Lehmann lock mechanisms and complement application in furniture. In short: The best of everything.
Launching the new “VCS 18.2“ generation of interchangeable cylinders, Lehmann has been able to further expand its all-embracing system in consolidating product ranges while at the same time still being able to meet specific customer requirements in the familiar way. So, when it comes to consolidating product ranges, it’s altogether possible for the equation to end up with one plus two making three instead of one plus two making one and a half, as is so often the case.
