Prestige Signal: Telling by colour

Colours provide information. They send clear signals and help to guide the way through the jungle of different functions. Lehmann has applied this signal effect to the « Prestige » cylinder lock system.

« Prestige Signal » indicates at a glance whether or not cabinets, pullouts and drawers are locked. The colour blue says furniture is unlocked. Red signalises the furniture lock is engaged. The colour-coding of functions on furniture obviates the need for tedious checks on leaving the office. A glance it all it takes to know for sure that sensitive documents are securely locked away. The flat cylinder design featured in the « Z 32 » system – « Z 32 » being the designation describing the nature of the cylinder barrel – underscores the clarity of function.

The two new surfaces in matt white and chrome go perfectly with the latest furniture trends, discreetly integrating « Prestige Signal » into the design of furniture. Together with the folding « Opaline » flat key, the look of harmony is complete. Visually, the opal surface of the key cap makes the key merge in with the furniture front.
