Shop-fitting is an area that demands modern-day security standards and places high expectations on design. Because retailers must be able to display exquisite pieces behind glass in the appropriate way without neglecting the security they demand. At ZOW 2012 furniture-lock specialist Lehmann is presenting a completely revised range of locks for glass doors that scores with practical functionality and versatility.
With identical dimensions, the new glass-door lock range is available in the “Prestige” and “VCS 18.2” interchangeable cylinder systems, guaranteeing flexibility and versatility on the application side. As a result, the new generation of glass-door locks are also suitable for use with the special “Prestige Signal” cylinder core or with the “Z77 Trikey” cylinder that can be supplied as a master-key system for “VCS 18.2”.
The modular design of the new glass-door lock generation provides the capability of using fixed or latch bolts throughout a system. In addition, various backset sizes help to put the application spectrum on a broad base. Standardised accessories typify the system philosophy the Minden-based lock specialist pursues for all product groups.
The optional retrofit key-retention feature caters to the modern-day security standards. It makes sure that valuable objects on display in glass cabinets or behind glass doors are protected from unauthorised access because the lock must always be engaged before it’s possible to remove the key.
Besides security, design’s an aspect that is also important in fitting out shops. The optionally available electroplated and lacquered surfaces, such as gold and silver, complement a wide range of different furnishing concepts in shop and contract fitting to create a look of harmony. This not only gets security right but aesthetic appeal too – in just the way necessary for displaying valuables behind glass.
