One in every eight exhibitors at Holz-Handwerk trade fair for woodworking & wood processing / Fensterbau Frontale trade fair for windows, doors and facades, which took place at Nuremberg in March 2016, is based in Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL). With its focus, the dual event at home in Germany’s strongly trades-based south and concentrated on Europe addresses the region’s three most dynamic business segments: machine construction, automation technology as well as the furniture and furniture supplier industry. In cooperation with MSWW PR Agency, “WiR – Wirtschaft regional” business magazine brought out a special issue.
For this purpose, MSWW visited all 75 exhibitors from the region, spoke to fair-goers from Ostwestfalen-Lippe, to carpenters, window manufacturing companies and representatives of the production connected trading, and interviewed a young carpenter winning the dds prize. A background report analyses challenges facing the segments involved in building, interior design and furnishing while also looking at their development potential. On 60 pages, the publication reviews the economic force of Ostwestfalen-Lippe companies on European woodworking and wood processing and on the building industry.
