Office desk pedestals without pencil tray or card-index cabinets using every inch of space for storage place exacting demands on the lock system. To ensure security doesn’t come at the expense of reduced storage space or unattractive design, Lehmann has developed the new “SVS Elevon” lock system.
For pedestals without pencil tray, the “SVS Elevon” provides security that doesn’t lay it on thick. The new lock with extra-shallow bolt keeps an extremely low profile on the drawer front panel, harmoniously blending into office furniture architecture. For this slim-line lock bolt to reach the locking mechanism, it has been re-designed in the head section of the locking bar.
The newly developed “SVS Elevon” provides clear benefits in pedestals not equipped with a pencil tray. Because conventional central locks are based on components that project far into the interior. In conjunction with the pencil tray, these can only be compensated for by providing recesses below the tray. In pedestals with drawers, they reduce storage space and impair access. Reduced to a minimum, the components of the “SVS Elevon” central lock waste no space inside the drawer. The entire drawer contents can be accessed without obstruction.
The new “SVS Elevon” lock system features an interlock function that prevents several drawers from being pulled open at the same time – or in the case of pedestals – from running out. The office furniture manufacturer benefits from straightforward and time-saving assembly as the lock system comes pre-assembled.
